BCCI Open Selection Trials for Bowlers (Fast & Spin)
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has launched a scheme across the country to unearth the exceptional raw bowling talent. The selected players will be trained at BCCI Academies to sharpen their skills under the watchful guidance of professional coaches / physical trainers and other support staff.
One segment of the trial will be held under the auspices of Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association at the Capt. Roopsingh Stadium, Gwalior, on 6th & 7th April 2012.
Following is the information pertaining to the activity -
1. Eligibility of participants :
Players fulfilling all of the following norms are eligible to attend the trials, subject to proper registration.
i. The trials are meant for boy’s only
ii. The trials are for shortlisting of bowlers only (Fast + Spin). Batsmen, Wicket keepers are not eligible
iii. Boy’s born between 1.9.1989 to 1.9.1994 are ONLY eligible to attend.
iv. Players should not have participated in any of the BCCI conducted tournament in past.
v. Players who have already attended any of the trials held at Jammu, Dharamshala, Ranchi, Raipur should not attend.
vi. The event is open for players from any part of the country.
2. Faculty : The trials will be conducted by the experienced faculty deputed by BCCI.

3. Registration process :
i. Registration is mandatory for the event. No unregistered player shall get access to the trials.
ii. Registration forms will be available at the following places
a. MPCA website (www.mpcaonline.com) from 28th March Onwards
b. Registration counter at the Capt. Roopsingh Stadium, Gwalior on 5th April 2012 ONLY
iii. Duly completed forms shall be accepted at the Registration counter at the Capt. Roopsingh Stadium on 5th April 2012 from 9.00 am till 6.00 p.m.
Following documents are required for the registration process.
A colour, passport size, recent photograph (to be attached with the registration form)
Players who are shortlisted after the trials will have to submit a photocopy of date of birth proof + Photocopy of address proof at the venue (Original documents to be produced for verification).
iv. After scrutiny of the form, eligible players shall be given accreditation badge. Players should wear the badge when they report for the trials on 6th April 2012. No reporting on 7th April.
v. No player shall be registered on 6th April 2012 (subject to organizers decision)
4. Other instructions for the trials :
i. No player shall be entitled for any allowance for attending the trials. If required, a candidate may have to stay for both the days during the trials for which he has to make his own arrangements.
ii. No registration charge is applicable.
iii. Players should not carry any cricket kit with them while reporting for the trials. Organisers will not be responsible for safeguarding of personal belongings.
iv. It is compulsory to wear white cricket T shirt + white cricket trouser + white sports shoes + cap. Players should carry a small towel + own water bottles.
v. Registered players should report at the venue by 8.15 am on 6th April 2012 displaying the registration badge as provided.
vi. The organizers have entire right to cancel / postpone the event for reasons not required to be made public. Nobody can challenge the decision in this regard.
